Basic Carrier Liability is insurance coverage that is requited by law. It is included in your free moving quote.
It's the most cost-efficient way to move. At 60 cents per pound it is the minimum coverage for interstate moves. How they would determine your lost or damaged claim is take the weight of the article and multiply that by 60 cents.

This type of insurance coverage definitely wouldn't be enough to replace your broken or lost item with a similar one. If you agree to this option you will be asked to sign a specific statement in agreement on the bill of lading.
